How do I register with Uday Educational Consultancy Services (UECS) ? Is there any registration fee?

There are 2 ways for this; you can either register online through our website by clicking here> or you can visit our office. We do not charge any registration fee at the moment.

What are the requirements for studying Overseas?

Every university/college/institute in different country has its own requirements, thus it is essential to know all the details about the respective university/college/institute you choose. However, most of them would ask for some standard documents like, application form, your academic record, standardized test reports (TOEFL + SAT/GRE/GMAT, etc.), recommendation letters and evidence of financial resources.

Are the degrees from U.S., UK, Australia and NZ recognized in India?

Degrees from the Universities represented by UECS are globally recognized. Association of Indian Universities, the apex body in India, has clarified that the recognized degrees in UK, Australia and NZ are fully recognized in India. Usually degrees taught in any country and recognized by the Government of that country is recognized in India. For certain professional qualifications such as Medicine, Law, Dentistry etc. professional registration may be required.

How much does it cost to study overseas?

It depends on the destination, course and the institution. Generally speaking UK costs about Rs.10 -14 lakhs per annum, Australia costs Rs. 8 -12 lakhs per annum and NZ costs Rs. 8-9 lakhs per annum. There are few scholarships and hence students have to be largely self-funded or avail loans from Indian banks.

Can I do part-time work during my studies?

All students can work part time for 20 hours per week and full time during vacations. Jobs can be casual, temporary in nature. For e.g.:- Shops, Food joints, Supermarkets, University Departments, Libraries, etc.

Can I study part-time?

No. Students from India are ‘visa nationals’ and need a student visa to study in the UK. To get a visa/entry clearance into the UK as a student, you need to be enrolled on a full time course.

Which course to choose from and what country?

There are several factors that have to be considered in selecting the right program. These include the subject/s you want, Overall cost of study including Tuition Fee, Living expenses, the language you will be taught in, the academic credit available for the course - its recognition and job prospects both overseas and in the Home Country after completion of the program. You must also consider other personal issues typical to an individual, etc.

Is it advisable to take University accommodation or private accommodation?

It is advisable to take University accommodation as a new student you don't have to hunt much for accommodation, don’t have to worry about landlords & contracts, no extra bills and mostly university accommodations are close in proximity to the place of study.

How much time does the VISA processing take?

Student visa applications processing takes around 10 days.

Would you do the filing of VISA on my behalf?

As the biometric system has been introduced which requires the candidate to submit biometric data in support of his/her application, you will have to go and file the Visa Application personally. Applicants will need to have a ten-finger digital scan, which will be taken with a photograph at collection points in all U.K. visa application centers.

What assistance do I get after my VISA is approved?

After the VISA is approved we guide you with a pre departure briefing, which includes guidance for the air tickets, airport pick-ups, traveler’s cheque, things to carry along etc.
